Jennifer Fuller is currently the Vice President of the Milken Educator Awards for the Milken Family Foundation. In her role, Jennifer supports the selection and notification of Milken Educators and works with state agencies on state events related to the Awards. Prior to joining MEA, Jennifer was a public-school educator for 21 years in Arlington, Texas, serving as a junior high and high school English teacher for 18 years and the Coordinator of Leadership Development for 3 years.

Jennifer played a crucial role in the development of Arlington Collegiate High School, a unique partnership with Tarrant County College that opened in 2014. Designed for students who would not otherwise consider attending college, the school provides the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and dual-credit (up to an associate degree) within four years. The unique campus, with 88% of students eligible for free or reduced lunch, creates a seamless transition between high school and college. The class of 2018 was the first to graduate and Fuller’s leadership beyond the English classroom led to both school and individual student achievement. Fuller’s collaborative strategies provided the necessary support for students to excel beyond the academic expectations she set. As a result, her classes received the highest end-of-course exam scores in the district for two consecutive years. In 2016-17, the school earned a 98% passing rate versus the state average rate of 62%.

As a teacher leader, Jennifer helped Arlington ISD create the Leadership Definition which serves as a guiding pillar for developing leaders throughout the district. In addition, she co-led the creation of the Teacher Leadership Pathway which provided structured leadership opportunities and training for over 800 teachers who wanted to develop their leadership while continuing to serve students in the classroom.

When Jennifer moved into the role of Coordinator of Leadership Development at the central office, she continued working with teacher leaders by leading the Teacher Leadership Pathway, and she also developed leaders in the School and Central Office Leadership Pathways, creating and supporting leadership experiences for 1,000 leaders throughout the district.

Fuller earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2001 from Texas Christian University and a Master of Education from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2003.
