As TA vice principal and student services coordinator, Jade Pham personifies respect, responsibility and resiliency – the 3 Rs espoused by Prince David Kawananakoa Middle School in Honolulu. She received a Milken Educator Award on April 8, 2024.
After immigrating from Vietnam to Hawaii, Pham completed schooling in the Kaimuki complex area, graduated from college in Oregon, and returned to Kaimuki High to start her career as a special education and general education teacher. In 2021 she moved to KMS, where she leads the Hawaii Multi-Tiered System of Supports and implements project-based learning; Socratic Seminars; computer science integration; assessment strategies, and social-emotional learning. Pham also provides students with outside instruction and college and career exploration opportunities to become “life-ready.” Pham's other leadership roles include the Western Association of Schools and Colleges assessment focus group chair, esports club advisor, and special education teacher committee at the University of Hawaii.
Pham graduated from Corban University with a Bachelor of Science in political science in 2017 and completed her Master of Education in Teaching in 2019 at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
