Assistant Principal, Gannett Peak Elementary School | Lander, WY
Assistant Principal Megan Park received a Milken Educator Award at Gannett Peak Elementary School on March 12, 2024.
Park contributes to a positive culture at Gannett Peak Elementary School in Lander. She greets staff and students with contagious enthusiasm. Her passion shines through while leading professional development and building relationships with colleagues, students and families. Park works with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports coordinator on strengthening reading and math. She implemented a social and emotional learning program, a book study on school discipline, and community circles. She is active on the leadership and improvement team and curriculum alignment committees. Park dresses up on assessment days to promote confidence around achievement. At the state level, she participates in the Wyoming Department of Education Level Up Leadership Group to build impactful leaders in education: A former classroom and special education teacher, the ceiling in her office showcases tiles to represent each class she has served.
Park earned her Bachelor of Science in special education in 2010 from Montana State University and her Master of Arts in 2020 from Western Governors University.
