Andrew Rebello (MA '23)
Principal and Assistant Superintendent, Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School | Fall River, MA
Andrew Rebello started at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School in Fall River as the guidance counselor, and now as principal and assistant superintendent, spurs immense, positive change. Rebello received a Milken Educator Award on October 20, 2023.
He provides high-quality educational opportunities through building relationships with families and ensuring every voice is heard. Rebello improved student learning with checks for critical thinking and academic and vocational acceleration programs, helping to bring the graduation rate to 98%. Rebello extends relationship-building to the community with a Parent Academy to facilitate family growth and partnership, a family hotline, a community liaison to bolster community presence and a college-access pathway for students to remain on track to graduate. His state-level service includes Governor Healey’s Economic Development Planning Council and the Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association.
Rebello received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Merrimack College in 2010, a Master of Education in 2012 from Frostburg State University, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from University of Massachusetts Boston in 2016, and a Certificate of School Management and Leadership from Harvard University in 2021.
